There can be found several small towns adjoining the city border, that might be suitable for drivers as a stop during their journey. It is also a good way of avoiding the traffic jams, that are very common in the city centre. These are the following localities: Pruhonice and Ricany hotels (both towns situated by the motorway D1 in the direction of Brno, Bratislava and Vienna); Uvaly hotels (by the motorway D11 in the direction of Hradec Kralove and Wroclaw, Poland); the joint towns of Brandys n. Lab. & Stara Boleslav (located by the motorway D11 and the road E65 in the direction of Liberec, the "Good King Wenceslas" was assassinated there in the 10th century); hotels in the town of Roztoky (by the motorway D8 in the direction of Teplice and Dresden); Rudna and Beroun hotels (both by the motorway D5 to Bavaria, the latter one situated 30 km off the Prague border).
