You can find a wide choice of hotel facilities in the New Town. Many hotels are situted near the Wenceslas Square (Vaclavske namesti), which is where the action is. But the prices mostly reflect this fact too. Another favourite location is the nearby Namesti Republiky. A few metro stations south from there some cheaper hotels are located. However, their setting is not so beautiful and some of them stand on busy roads at that. Several hotels have been run near the Vysehrad hill (the other residence of Czech dukes), south of the New Town. You should take into account, that you may have difficulty finding a hotel during the high season (i.e. approximately from Easter to October and at Christmas) – you had better book in advance.
