In this category are included hotels that are not located within a walk distance from the Prague centre, but are quite easily accessible by public transport. When looking for a hotel in this area, you should particularly take into account the following localities: Holesovice hotels (north of the centre, by the Exhibition grounds); Vysocany hotels (northeast of the centre, near the Sazka Arena); Zizkov hotels (east of the centre, very wide choice of hotels); Podoli & Nusle hotels (south of the centre, near Vysehrad and the Congress centre); Smichov hotels (west of the centre, near the Petrin hill and the Strahov stadium); Brevnov hotels (west of the centre, near the Benedictine monastery). Many of the hotels have been refurbished recently. However, we would like to point out that the prices are not neccessarily more favourable than in the city centre – they often equal them in this respect. An economical alternative can be accommodation in guesthouses or apartments - they are very numerous especially in the outer Prague districts.
