Velka Chuchle is quite a large quarter south of the Prague centre on the left bank of the Vltava. It is a part of the administrative district Prague 16. You can set out on a trip to the nearby Chuchelsky grove with a church of St. John Nepomucky - it offers a fine view of the Vltava valley. The quarter is known especially for its large flat racing course. It lies by the road R4 to the southern Bohemia and close to both the motorway D1 to Brno and the motorway D5 in the direction of Plzen (Pilsen) and Bavaria. You can find a hotel at the horse course. However, the hotel market is not much developed in the neighbourhood. You can find more hotels in the districts of Hlubocepy, Branik, Podoli, Nusle or Smichov, which are located closer the city centre.
