The history of this quarter was closely associated with the industrial development in the adjacent Vysocany in the middle of the 19th century. The most significant sight is the romanesque basilica of St. Wenceslas. It should be accessible by metro from 2008, for the time being you can reach it by bus from the metro station Palmovka on the Line B. Hotels are not as frequent as in Vysocany, but you can find several accomodation possibilities here, too.
