Lahovice is a tiny quarter in the south of Prague, lying on the confluence of the Berounka and the Vltava (originally the confluence was located in the neighbouring Zbraslav, but the river bed was shifted a bit to the north). It is a part of the administrative district Prague 16. It may be useful as a stop for drivers, as it lies by the road R4 to the southern Bohemia, as well as the road No.115 leading to the famous Karlstejn Castle. Both the motorways D5 to Plzen (Pilsen) and Bavaria, and D1 to Brno can be easily reached from here too. If you look for a hotel in this area, you should be satisfied with the Zbraslav hotels - enough hotel facilities are on disposal there.
